Hand-forged, high-carbon Petty, masterfully crafted in Japan
HANDLE: Traditional Japanese-style octagonal handle, with plastic waste collected from restaurants and cafes in East London through our recycling scheme: The ReCycle Lane.
THEME: “BAR BUDDIES”
“BAR BUDDIES” is a three-part collection, inspired by the insatiable English love of warm, cocktail filled, boozy summers. This is a petty only collection. These small and nimble blades will help you absolutely fly through your cocktail garnish and Pimm’s jug prep this summer.
BLADE: The Petty is a fantastic knife for small, intricate jobs in the kitchen. Hand forged using Shirogami #1 White Steel, giving the blade fantastic edge retention and superior sharpness. “Kurouchi” finish (leaving black finish from forging on the blade) to increase rust resistance.
CONSTRUCTION: San Mai is a Japanese technique where the steel that forms the cutting edge is wedged between soft iron for greater durability and rust resistance.
HRC: 62 - This blade is razor sharp but can chip if used inappropriately. The handbook supplied with your knife will give you so do’s and don’ts for using your knife safely.
Blade Size - 110mm
